agree  Horst Huber: Would not "Dr. med." be clearer? --- No quarrel from me. In Germany this "Führung" of titles is chiefly about the "pre-fixes" and "post-fixes"(?) to names that people are, or are not, entitled to.

-> Hi HH. Cultural difference? In UK, a doctor is a person who heals you. In Cuba, he is a person who rules you for half a century. Various ways of writing: MD, Dr Med (+ dots for Amer. Engl.). In UK, single ‘inverted commas’. In U.S.A. “double quotes”.
