German to English translations [PRO] Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs / CV Profile | | German term or phrase: jägerbataillon | hi,
Vielen Dank,

| | | rifle battalion | Explanation: A Jägerbatallion is a rifle battalion, ("straight leg" infantry as we called them as oppossed to mechanized or airborne infrantry because more often than not they are transported using LPCs - "leather personnel carriers" aka boots) normally Gebirgsjäger which would be a Mountain Bn in the US Army. The Kompanieführungstrupp is the company HQ section (normally a HQ platoon in the USA) |
