Nachrechnung

Thanks, Alan. I was just thinking the same thing and was just about to direct a query to you asking whether you considered 'reanalysis' was still valid in the light of the email response. I thought there has to be a difference between 'Nachrechnung' and 'Berechnung'.

I sent an email to the company that wrote the reference and received a reply from the Head of Product Development Group Ammonia and Urea Division as follows:
Sehr geehrter Herr London,

Der Begriff "Nachrechnung" wird in der Prozesstechnik in der Regel benutzt im Zusammenhang mit der Berechnung des Betriebsverhaltens einer existierenden Anlage, für die gemessene Daten vorliegen. Insofern würde ich 'Nachrechnung' mit "calculation of plant operation" übersetzen.

Auslegung meint im Gegensatz dazu die Bestimmung der Hauptprozessparameter und die konkrete Dimensionierung der Apparate. Nach meinem Kenntnisstand ist "Auslegung" mit "design" korrekt übersetzt.

Abgleich würde ich mit "verification and adjustment of (physical properties)" übersetzen.

I thought the text indicated 'Nachrechnung' of the CO2-Wäsche as well as 'Auslegung' of the CO2-Wäsche but according to the email that apparently isn't the case. I suppose recalculation is the closest then.
