does this mean to expose/open up etc ....

Molekular geprägte Polymere werden herkömmlich mittels Bulk-Polymerisation als Polymermonolithe hergestellt. Diese müssen dann durch Mahlen zerkleinert werden, um die Prägestellen freizulegen.
Molecular imprinted polymer are usually produced as polymer monoliths through bulk polymerisation. These must then be crushed by grinding to Prägestellen freizulegen.

agree  Johannes Gleim: Good reference, but would it not be better to delete "artifical" and to maintain "expose the receptors". Can you prove the identity to "Prägestellen"?
