"Behandeln Sie Ihre Abformung artgerecht vor (Silikon entspannen, Polyether mit Wasser benetzen) und füllen Sie die Abformung vorsichtig und blasenfrei und bis zum oberen Rand der beschnittenen Abformung auf."

From a text about pin drills, dental impressions and suchlike. I'm not sure what "entspannen" means exactly in relation to silicone. TIA for your help.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking it might be something like this, but wasn't completely sure (some dictionaries offered semi-plausible alternatives like "expand", which confused me).
