German term or phrase: beim Eintrag ...zu entlasten
-Es wird Verwertung angestrebt, um beim Eintrag in Vorfluter die Trinkwasseraufbereitung zu entlasten.

I need help with this German sentence.
I cannot get the sense of it.

here is more context but it seems that sentences are not connected:

Der getrocknete Polymerfilm ist brennbar.
Der reine Stoff ist explosiv, nicht in reiner Form isolieren, nicht mahlen.
Der Salzgehalt ist nicht abbaubar.
Es wird Verwertung angestrebt, um beim Eintrag in Vorfluter die Trinkwasseraufbereitung zu entlasten.
Der Stoff hat blutdrucksenkende Eigenschaften.
Der Stoff hat keine mutagene Aktivität ( Ames-Test ).

to reduce the burden ..... when it is discharged into .....
Explanation:
my feeling is that Eintrag in this context is best interpreted as "Einführung" - dithering between this and 'ingress' rather than discharge, which would imply accidental rather than deliberate discharge, but using 'discharge' leaves both options open
