Eigenverantwortliches Vorbereiten und Durchführen von Schaltungen und Überspielungen im Hauptschaltraum und Bedienung der Sat-Empfangs- und Sendeanlagen

This is from a work reference for somebody who worked as a transmission engineer. I need to get the exact term here for "Überspielungen' It appears to be 'recordings' as opposed to 'broadcasts' but is it specifically some type of recording like 'remastering'?

That's supposed to read "outside broadcasting unit", not "outside broadcasting studio".

Überspielung
1.) Im Wortsinne die Übertragung eines Beitrags zwischen zwei Studios bzw. Rundfunkanstalten. In diesem Falle geht man davon aus, dass das SDI-Signal abgegeben und auf der empfangenden Seite aufgenommen wird und die Überspielung in der Regel in Echtzeit erfolgt. Welcher Übertragungsweg, wie z.B. ATM oder per Satellitenübertragung, und welche Art der Datenreduktion bei der Überspielung verwendet werden, wird mit dem Begriff Überspielung nicht beschrieben. Damit ist auch nicht klar, ob das Material nach der Überspielung bearbeitungsfähig ist. Im Gegensatz zu einer Überspielung steht der File Transfer.
2.) Kopieren eines Beitrags auf einen anderen Träger, z.B. zwischen MAZ-Maschinen oder von einer MAZ-Maschine auf einen Produktions- oder Sendeserver. In beiden Fällen gilt: Überspielungen sind im Allgemeinen nur in Echtzeit möglich. Bestimmte Kombinationen digitaler MAZ-Formate auf der einen und nichtlinearer Schnittsysteme oder Server auf der anderen Seite ermöglichen auch Überspielungen in einer kürzeren als Echtzeit. In diesem Fall werden keine digitalen Videosignale, sondern herstellerspezifische Videodatenformate, z.B. über SDTI, überspielt.

agree  Jim Tucker: This is very likely the one that fits the asker's context; another form of "Überspielung" is re-recording on the mixing board, but the present context is clearly broadcasting, not audio engineering.
