German term or phrase: Tagesreportage
A "Tagesreportage" is a (TV) documentary made in one single day, without artificial lightning, with a minimum of technical equipment. It usually depicts aspects of daily life (like "One day in the life of ..."). Is there a technical term in English for this kind of documentary, e.g. one-day feature, one-day documentary etc?

I would say this refers not only to the content but also the format. Also, the life component should not be taken too literally, i.e. it can refer to a place or an institution just as much as to a person.

The alternative approach would be to call this production a "documentary filmed over a 24-hour period".
