German term or phrase: Koppeln
I'm looking for a translation of the world "Koppeln" in the context of film projection. I'm translating the terms and conditions of a German film distributor, which include a clause that expressly forbids the "Koppeln" of two different film rolls (the actual word used is Koppelverbot). After asking the client for clarification, they told me that it refers to attaching two different film rolls to one other, usually with adhesive tape, to make the projection process easier; this can, however, potentially damage the film rolls in the process. While I could probably find some sort of paraphrase for the expression, I would be interested to know if there is some sort of jargon term used by film projectionists to describe this.

The part of the text:

Anweisungen für den Umgang mit unseren Filmkopien / Videoformaten

Insbesondere ist das „Koppelverbot“ zu beachten; im Falle der Nichtbeachtung berechnen wir pro Koppelstelle eine Gebühr von 25 € zzgl. Umsatzsteuer.
