German term or phrase: Galgensystem

In a document describing control engineering devices and control panels, I'm having some trouble with the term "Galgensystem". Sentence as follows:

"Die Skalierung der Steuerungstechnik bietet von der Klemmensteuerung im Schrank, dem Embedded Bedienfeld bis hin zum PC am **Galgensystem** für jedes Konzept im Maschinenbau die entsprechende Lösung."

Explanation:
Mikrophongalgen is usually translated as "mike boom stand". I have never heard "gallows" in any other context than for hanging (see Wikipedia). I picked level 3 because your term doesn't necessarily require the suspension system for the PC (I assume PC monitor) to have any articulations.
