would seem the best candidate at least in the interface world. Do I understand correctly that this involves instructions to the programmers? Sorry, I am not an expert, so I ask for your indulgence. Certainly though it would be "Mittwochsregel" [include the "s"] in idiomatic German.

in my opinion - as to the frequency and format of the communication to (correspondence with) the customer. Correspondence is misleading - it presumes two-way traffic - whereas here it's clearly one way - to the customer.

... "directive", a term which is frequently used for formalized rules or statements in configuration files of computer programs (namely server applications). Upon reading in such directives, the program may read (add) them together, apply them according to circumstances, discard them etc -- as the case may be.

Anyway this question should go into some computer related topic, IMHO.
