German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Computers: Systems, Networks
German term or phrase: zu Lasten
I am translating a document describing various SLAs.

I am translating a list of terms under "Verfügbarkeitsdefinition". The first was "Wartungsfenster", no problem there. The next is "ordentliche Wartung". Maybe it's just getting late, but I can't quite get my head around the second sentence. Surely any maintenance means a certain loss of availability as the systems will not be available when the work is being carried out? Or does it mean that if, for instance, they guarantee a minimum availability of the system per month then the regular maintenance times will not negatively impact on this calculation?

--------------
Zeit, in der innerhalb eines Wartungsfensters tatsächlich Wartungsarbeiten durchgeführt werden und die Systeme daher nicht verfügbar sind (angegeben in Stunden). ***Die Zeiten ordentlicher Wartung werden nicht zu Lasten der Verfügbarkeit angerechnet.*** Ordentliche Wartung wird zwischen Firma X und Kunde Y vor der eigentlichen Durchführung zeitlich und inhaltlich abgestimmt.

English translation:routine maintenance shall not count towards...
Explanation:
I think they distinguish between two types of maintenance - routine/standard/planned vs. the Maschin kaputt-type (unscheduled) maintenance
