German to English translations [PRO]
Marketing - Computers (general) / article about the millennium bug
German term or phrase: Sorgenkinder
The sentence is :

Im Durchschnitt sind etwa 15 bis 20 % aller systeme betroffen - also " sorgenkinder"

An online dictionary which had this term gave it as " worry children", but that is obviously totally wrong. I am thinking about just paraphrasing because it seems there is no English equivalent. I am thinking perhaps " cause for concern"
" ...15 to 20 % of all systems are affected, so are a " cause for concern"
Any ideas or suggestions would be most welcome

problem children

Explanation:
Online dictionaries do produce some howlers.

"Problem children" is a common term, it can certainly be applied here.

agree  jconway: I think 'problem children' is entirely appropriate as a direct translation. I certainly use it in day to day speech. However, if the text is meant to be very politically correct, 'point of contention' or 'cause for concern' may be less confrontational.

agree  Cilian O'Tuama: sth. with "potential(ly)" is good IMO

agree  Helen Shiner: with Cilian but 'fatalities' seem somewhat strong in the context. Potentially worrisome/problematic etc. might be a better route perhaps?
