German term or phrase: Fundstelle
Hi ProZ-Profis!

This term seems simple enough and appears in the following context:

Nach Qualitätskontrolle der eingescannten Dokumente durch das Bedienpersonal und erfolgreicher (d.h. richtiger) Eingabe der Indexwerte werden die Images im Cache abgelegt und die Fundstellen in die Indexdatenbank eingefügt.

To me, it seems like "Fundstellen" should be "locations" or "references", but I haven't been able to confirm this because just about everything on the internet seems to refer to law or archeology.

Could someone with experience in this field kindly help me out?

Vielen Dank im Voraus!

Explanation:
would be my preference in this case. A link is usually a "hyperlink" which may not apply here.

Explanation:
From the context it seems to me that they are referring to entering links to the images in the database.

Fundstelle can simply mean 'source'.

neutral  GWilliams: A 'link' is NOT usually a 'hyperlink' and especially not when referring to a database, as in this case! Only if referring to hypertext-type documents such as in HTML. Consider relational databases or symbolic links in file systems! Are they hyperlinks?
