agree  Kim Metzger: I'd just call them brackets. Adhesive brackets wouldn't make any sense to me. / One look at the photo will make it clear these are NOT splines.

Spline

Explanation:
Spline is the generic term for strips inserted into wood joints to add surface area for gluing and strengthening the joint. Splines in commercial woodwork may be wood, plastic or metal, straight, or in your case, I expect, 90 degrees.

The glue part of the german term is redundant in english usage.

Generically, Feder in German. See also

Example sentence(s):
  • The bookcase corner joints are reinforced with splines.

neutral  Kim Metzger: But these aren't splines. http://www.allku.de/allku/modellbau/montageteile.htm Spline - A thin strip of wood fitted between two grooves to make a joint. Too bad we don't know how these things are used. Splines would make sense if the parts are grooved.

  -> Care to tell me what they ARE? Spannagel (Der Möbelbau) calls them Feder. Nutsch (see above) calls them Winkelfeder. Pracht (Möbel und Innenausbau) calls them Winkelfeder. As your reference states, they can also be screwed in. I await enlightenment.

agree  gangels: comes closer than bracket
