German term or phrase: Erteilung des Weiterführungsauftrags
The term appears in a letter from the Ministry of Finance of a German state to a public entity that manages historical, protected properties. A restoration measure is planned for one of the properties. In the letter, the Ministry of Finance is granting the entity permission to continue with the next phase of the project, which involves preparing detailed planning documents.

The term appears in the following sentence:

"Ich bitte daher, dem Staatlichen Bauamt XX auf dieser Grundlage nunmehr Weiterführungsauftrag zur Erstellung der Detailplanung (AFU-Bau) einschließlich der für die spätere Auftragsvergabe notwendigen Leistungsverzeichnisse mit folgenden Maßgaben zu erteilen:"

I understand the meaning of the term. The ministry is issuing a continuation order. However, I'm sure there is a proper, technical term for this type of order in English, but I can't find it anywhere.

Asker: Thank you for the suggestion, but I think in this case "Detailplanung" refers to planning documents rather than designs (the project deals with restoration work, not new construction).
