German term or phrase: Abwicklung

Neue Beschichtung von bereits lackierten Stahlzargen bis zu einer *** Abwicklung *** von 40cm, Durchgangslichte bis 100 x 210cm.

I'm guessing it has to do with the depth of the clear opening, e.g. through a wall, but cannot find anything that seems to fit. Or is the word "development" really used in the construction industry to describe this?

Aus dem Bereich Technisches Zeichnen und Stereometrie kenne ich schon die Bezeichnungen „developed view“ und „development“. Bei einem konkreten Bauteil würde ich aber zögern, dies zu verwenden. Hier passt m.M. nach besser „flat projection“.
