thanks to you I've graduated onto the at least half credible option of "clearing blade", but it seems to be used as standard for the the thing that fits on the front of a bulldozer. It's not very swordlike. Maybe clearing paddle? I'm not sure that a sludge collection flight would be used in a biogas plant. Maybe! I have a long list of questions already for the client.

this is simply a Räum-/Kratzschild which could be translated as sludge collection flight. What does your Räumschwert look like?

is to clear something. I think it's a blade that clears out the contents.

In the second image we see something that looks like a hacksaw blade, but in the source cited by :) the hacksaw blade is used to cut open the top of the apparatus.

in the first picture. (I couldn't make out what to look at in the second reference.) On this page (http://ucsustainability.blogspot.com/2008/08/biogas-generato... a hacksaw blade has been used for making the digester vessel in a Biogas generator science project.
