German term or phrase: geflowte
"einzeln geflowte Marzipan-Sterne"

formed/shaped

Explanation:
Just a guess, really, but you can't pour marzipan and there are plenty Google hits for marzipan in conjunction with individually formed or shaped.

piped

Explanation:
As you say Hattie, what is the German language coming to? I originally thought that this may have something to do with chocolate "flowing" over the stars to coat them, but then I stumbled across this site, where marzipan is actually "poured" (although they choose to use the word "gegossen"):

http://www.kraftfoods.de/kraft/page?siteid=kraft-prd&locale=...

Considering these are probably bite-size marzipan stars, I can hardly imagine the marzipan being poured out of a large vat. Hence my conclusion that the marzipan could be piped, either into moulds or using a star-shaped piping nozzle.

Individually piped marzipan stars may be a stab in the dark, but I hope it helps.

agree  Rebecca Garber: It would appear to 'flow' out of the piping bag. Seems like a logical possibility.
7 hrs
-> Thank you Rebecca. I definitely believe the marzzipan "flows" rather than being shaped by hand.

neutral  Rose Newell: This is what I would most likely have said, although upon examining Karin's answer that seems the most appropriate.

agree  British Diana: It's the packaging!! Have you tried Susanne's link's catalogue in EN as well as DE? It refers to packaging : DE gesealt/EN sealed DE in Flowpack/EN flowpack. Forget about "nice" language, otherwise there wouldn't be the word "foodtainer", would there !

agree  Susanne Schiewe: gut möglich, s. a. "geflowt"//allerdings gibt es in derselben Ref. auch den "Flowpack". Entweder ist das inkonsistent oder doch etwas anderes http://www.zon-business.com/upload/ZON_Product_DU_prf4.pdf

-> Danke, auch für den Link!

agree  Rose Newell: Amazing research. I thought it was referring to the piping, too - that seemed the most logical at first... Well done. Although it seems to be slightly more common without the hyphen.
