German term or phrase: Saitlingen
This comes from an Austrian menu near Salzburg. I've been looking and usually run across an Austrian sausage called a Saitlingen or its casing (like a previous proz entry) but given the context and other items on the menu, I doubt they would serve meat on top of more meat.

'Perlhuhnroulade auf Saitlingen'

Perlhuhn is guinea fowl

When I look up images I found a salad with mushrooms - could it be a kind of mushroom? if so, how would I find its English translation? Please help. I'm very confused.

Reference: Seitling vs Saitling?

Reference information:
Without having more information about the recipe, I can see 2 possibilities:
- a local spelling habit to denote the oyster mushrooms ("Seitlinge", referring to their shape and growing on the side of logs or piles of straw) or
- a combination of the fowl preparation on top of a bed of (crumbled?) sausages ("Saitlinge")
Hth! :-)
