Armorel Young: yes, the celery has been blanched by being earthed up, but that's how you grow celery anyway

Edward L. Crosby III: In German the generic term for (stalk) celery is "Stangensellerie". Armorel, it can be either green OR white (Bleichsellerie). In the U.S. you rarely if ever see the white variety -- it's green, like our asparagus.
