An alle Kolleginnen, die "Verwöhnbehandlungen" im Kosmetikinstitut zu schätzen wissen und das entsprechende Fachvokabular kennen:
Ich übersetze die Preisliste eines Schönheitssalons eines Hotels bzw. die verschiedenen Anwendungen, die dort geboten werden. Bei allen Gesichtsbehandlungen sind "Gesichtspackungen" Teil des Angebots (z.B. Meeresschlamm-Gesichtspackung,
Feuchtigkeits-GEsichtspackung, usw.) Der Kollege/die Kollegin, die die letzte Broschüre übersetzt hat, verwendete dafür "poultice". Das sagt mir leider gar nichts in diesem Zusammenhang. Ich würde das eher "facial pack" oder "face pack" nennen. Oder ist gar ein ganz anderer Ausdruck üblich?

Face mask is an actual physical mask protecting or disguising the face. Facial by itself means the whole process of a facial treatment. Believe me, I have experience in this area!

Then you can use face pack to distinguish (not facial pack). Lots of google hits for that. There may be a difference in texture between pack and mask. Maybe I am not so experienced in this area after all!

Asker: Thank you, but pls. see my discusson entry above. I use facial masks for the German "Gesichtsmasken", so still sthg. for "Packung"
