German to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Economics / Tourist accommodation
German term or phrase:BIP in Preisen des Vorjahres
This has been translated as 'GDP in terms of previous year'. Is this accurate enough or is there perhaps a more precise English term?
IMO 'GDF in terms of previous year' could be (mis)understood as 'GDP relative to previous year', but I also agree with Brigette's comment (although previous-year prices might be used for comparison in a situation of high inflation).
Also ich würde spontan schreiben "GDP in prices of the previous year" - aber das Konzept ist ein merkwürdiges. Meistens erfolgen die Angaben entweder in Preisen eines Basisjahres (okay, das könnte das letzte Jahr sein) oder in den aktuellen Preisen.
