Bus/Financial - Economics / knowledge transfer
German term or phrase: Breiten- und Tiefentransfer
My text is a description of a project on promoting knowledge transfer. The project involves defining the term "transfer" and "lineare und reziproke Transfermodelle, die Begriffe Breiten- und Tiefentransfer, neue Transferinstrumente und -kanäle", etc.
The text makes many references to knowledge transfer, technology transfer and innovation transfer, but the term "Breiten- und Tiefentransfer" is not used again.

I am struggling to find the equivalent English term(s).

I have found a couple of references that help to define the terms:
http://mciron.mw.tu-dresden.de/cimtt/newsletter/Newletterbei... (in the middle section)
http://www.zlw-ima.rwth-aachen.de/forschung/projekte/starg/d... (on page 2)

If anyone can help with an English translation I would be most grateful!

horizontal and vertical transfer
Explanation:
It's hard to suggest a translation without a detailed knowledge of the theory of knowledge transfer, but this is presumably talking about the direction in which it's transferred, perhaps within organisations.
