Hierzu hab ich leider nicht viel Kontext. Ich übersetze ein Dokument mit Kommentaren zu verschiedenen Paragraphen eines Vertrags (der mir nicht vorliegt). Es geht um Abschlagszahlungen, das ist soweit klar, und um Spitzabrechnungen. Was das in etwa ist, habe ich herausfinden können (at least I think so) - die Abrechnung von Restforderungen, nachdem die Abschlagszahlungen berücksichtigt worden sind, wie es z.B. bei Nebenkosten der Fall ist.
Meine Wirtschaftswörterbücher kennen den Begriff nicht. Kann jemand mir damit aushelfen? (Da es Powerpoint ist, bitte - soweit möglich - ein griffiges Substantiv! - ich hab nicht viel Platz!)

or something like that! According to Schäfer "Spitzbeträge" are `residual amounts´ - so, as you correctly supposed, a Spitzabrechnung would certainly be the calculation of the amount left over after deduction of advance payments. The result of this calculation would be the balance due.
