disagree Kim Metzger: A Berufskolleg is a vocational school. A trade school is a secondary school that offers instruction in skilled trades, i.e. plumbing, carpentry, cooking, etc.

Ausbildungs- und Prüfungsordnung... Curriculum and assessment policy...

Explanation:
for the 'Berufskolleg' (FE College?)

Results 1 - 10 of about 505 for "Curriculum and assessment policy".

Some educationists argue that the 'curriculum' should determine the method and content of the 'assessment'. Others argue that the starting point is the 'assessment' (i.e. what you want the candidate to demonstrate) from which the curriculum can then be constructed. Either way, it is the job of management to work out a 'policy'.

If 'curriculum' seems too bold a step to take when translating 'Ausbildung' then this combination also googles quite convincingly:

I have avoided getting involved in the 'Berufskolleg' part of this question as it would be impossible to find a solution that would satisfy colleagues on both sides of the Atlantic. The general consensus amongst US-based peers is 'vocational school' and I cannot argue with that. (In UK the closest equivalent would be a 'College of Further Education')
