German term or phrase: am Draht
Context: company wishing to market products to *Swiss* education system.

The text below is a note in the margin of a table.

Beamte, interessiert *am Draht* in die Wirtschaft. Wunsch sich in der Bildungslandschaft Schweiz zu profilieren.

I have found all sorts of phrases with Draht - but none of them "am Draht". Is this perhaps Swiss usage?

Any help much appreciated.

to have good connections, be on good terms

Explanation:
am Draht = "einen (guten) Draht haben zu ..."
Draht for connection

The translation is: "... interested in connections to ..."
"interessiert an" = "interested in"
"der Draht" = "connections".
I think the term is not restricted to Switzerland, at least in Southern Germany we also know this term "einen (guten) Draht haben". - Whether or not the "Beamte" already have such connections (or only now intend to establish them) or whether they (later) want "to go into" (or not), this we do not know from the original text. All we know is that they are "interested" (in connections).
