|used in university document regarding classes taken. "Englisch" is listed as an "NF" (Nebenfach). Would this be a "minor" or an "additional course of study?"|
At least in American usage, a "Nebenfach" is referred to as a minor. Conversely, a "major" is a "Hauptfach."
