"...in jedem Semester mit acht Promovenden/innen in einen neuen Jahrgang starten"
"Die Arbeitsgruppen können Jahrgangsübergreifend gemischt sein (Mentoring) ..."
This term comes up in various forms in my text. In some cases I've used 'incoming classes', but this does not always fit gramatically.
Would appreciate your suggestions, especially for Jahrgangübergreifend.
