German term or phrase: Bildfigur
This from e-learning material dealing with mathematical concepts. this topic is basically about displacements.
"Nur die Lage der Bildfigur hat sich gegenüber der Grundfigur verändert. Größe und Form der beiden Figuren sind identisch"
what can be the exact term for Bildfigur here?

Explanation:
How about calling a "Bildfigur" an 'image' and a Grundfigur" an 'original' ? The word 'figure' can be used wherever 'Figur' appears in the source text.

Another thought:
Bildfigur - projection
Grundfigur - original figure
The phrase "projection of the original figure" gets its share of googles in maths/geometry.

Am admittedly guessing here, so it's best to wait for peer comments and other answers.

Good luck!

Admittedly, this probably isn't exacty what you are looking for, but in this link they talk about mathematical mirror images, which would be "Spiegelbild", so I think it's safe to assume that casper is correct in calling "Bildfigur" an "image".
