| Reference: Info Reference information: In Lauterbad there are 45 places for care for children in the age of 6 to 18 years. The different forms of the children's diseases are normally written in the so-called term "mentally handicapped" or "practically formable". There are 5 groups of children in different ages living familiar together with all the people who take care for them. After having reached the age of 16 they move to the so-called "Werkstufe" where they live and work for another two years. These two years have to be seen as a preparation for the world of the adults when they leave Lauterbad in the age of 18. The parents together with our support have to look for an institute with suitable working places in a new living area in the midst of the adults. http://www.kinderheim-lauterbad.de/english/textonly.htm -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 mins (2011-06-29 16:18:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- So wurde eine Projektgruppe der Werkstufe mit 8 Schülern vorgesehen, für die sich die Schüler melden konnten. Diese Gruppe sollte nach den Überlegungen der Lehrkräfte die Baustelle sauber halten, einfache Handlangertätigkeiten für die Handwerker ausführen (Werkzeug holen, Werkzeuge säubern etc.). Wieder einmal, wie schon bei früheren Arbeitsprojekten und beim Mobilitätstraining, waren die ‚Fachleute’ überrascht, zu welchen Leistungen die Schüler fähig waren und wie wohl sie sich in dem wirklichkeitsentsprechenden Lernfeld fühlten. Im Verlauf des Projektes entwickelten die Schüler eine sehr hohe Motivation (sie arbeiteten auch in den Ferien) und Identifikation mit dem Projekt, so dass wir sie bisweilen bremsen mussten. Vier Schüler der Projektgruppe konnten nach Abschluss der Arbeiten direkt in Betriebe vermittelt werden. Sie hatten am realitätsnahen Lernort die entsprechenden ‚Schlüsselqualifikationen’ wie Fleiß, Pünktlichkeit, Ausdauer, Zuverlässigkeit, Ehrlichkeit, Durchhaltevermögen und Kritikfähigkeit erworben und über längere Zeit bewiesen. http://www.bag-ub.de/projekte/download_bp/Forum_04.pdf |
