Bus/Financial - Education / Pedagogy / Transcript / School Subject
German term or phrase: Wirtschaftsrechnen vs. Wirtschaftsmathematik
This refers to several transcripts of the Wirtschaftsschule (Germany). Both Wirtschaftsrechnen and Wirtschaftsmathematik were taught as subjects.
The terms often seem to be treated synonymously, though.

would you say the following is correct:

Wirtschaftsrechnen - business arithmetics or commercial arithmetics
Wirtschaftsmathematik - business mathematics

Thanks!

Welcome to KudoZ!
As a newcomer, you're probably not aware that you should check the glossary first to make sure the question hasn't been asked already. From the previous answer, it appears that both words mean the same. It's very unlikely to be "arithmetic" (which has no plural, by the way) - you don't go to business school to learn arithmetic. If you do need two separate phrases, I suggest "business calculations" for Wirtschaftsrechnen.

Asker: I had found the previous reference; the confusing thing in this case was that both were taught as subjects (in the same semester), so two phrases are needed. Thanks!!
