University of Applied Sciences Explanation: This is the correct translation that is used nowadays everywhere (also at my university). The name of my university is Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz (FH)-University of Applied Sciences (see:http://www.hs-zigr.de) Other German FHs use this term, too.
