To me, "ansprechend" here has the connotation of drawing someone in. "Attractive" is a good solution, obviously, as others have suggested, but a word like "engaging" (which Muret-Sanders also suggests for "ansprechend") has the added connotation of mental focus, which is very well suited to this context.
