German to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Electronics / Elect Eng / Wiring/electrics
German term or phrase:Schalteinsatz
This is part of an inventory of switches, sockets, wiring systems and so on for a construction project. And apparently it is not the same as a 'Schaltereinsatz', which is some kind of switching unit. Please help!
Futher to Paul's comment: 'a dictionary translation' is at best faint praise and actually a cautionary comment expressing the idea that there may be a better translation or a translation more appropriate to the specific context.
Yes, it's a fairly general term - but you never know! I'm not an eclectrical/electronics expert, and this was taken from a dictionary (not always the most reliable source). Next time around I'd wait at least 24 hours so the technical pros can respond. ;-)

Sounds like a general term, but - again - infinitely better than my efforts. Plus it is in a dictionary! Thanks again. :)
