Please distinguish between "Cold light cable" and "optic fiber". The cable contains an optic fiber, a jacket and connectors.
Another term for the same part is "fiberoptic light cable", which sounds a little bit more professional, instead of "cold light cable". But this term is less frequent in the internet.
More frequent is "fiber optic cable" used in telecommunication, but not or seldom in medical applications.

As far as I can tell, there is an important distinction to be made between "Kaltlichtquelle" and "Lichtquelle", but not between "Kaltlightkabel" and "Lichtkabel". "Optic fibre cable", or some variation on this (note that "fibre" is UK spelling I think) would therefore be appropriate.
