German to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Energy / Power Generation
German term or phrase:Pacht-Energieeinspeisevertrag
This is a bullet point in a list of Projektphasen of a company that develops and implements projects of biogas plants.
I have a hard time with this term. My thoughts are along the lines of "land-lease power feed-in agreement". Since its a part of a list, there's not much context, I'm afraid.
Other items in the list:
• technische u. kaufmännische Betriebsführung
• Bau und Inbetriebnahme
• Bauantragsverfahren und Baugenehmigung
• Stromnetzanbindung und Energieeinspeisung
• Standortsicherung und –entwicklung
Thanks for the note - no, these contracts were not "enduser" related. I'm still waiting on what the client says, but from what I understood after completing the whole translation was something along the lines of leasehold agreements regulating power purchase stipulations. We will see.
Did you put in the "land lease"? If yes, did you ask your client if that's the meaning? I never heard about something like this. That doesn't man anything, since nobody knows everything, just make sure, that it's right.
Thanks, everyone. I am back to my original idea of "land lease". I think that these are agreements to lease land to develop energy / power to feed into the public grid. Still searching some more. I can't imagine the text would simply add Pacht if it didn't mean something.
Are you sure that the lease relates to the land of the plant only, it might also be that it is a lease of the contract to supply the energy (along the lines of sell and lease back)?

(energy) supply agreement/contract
Explanation: this contract is a contract between the company making the energy and the enduser. This might include, that the user sells energy to the company (e.g. solar energy) and buys it back at special rates. See for example the link. I believe, you don't have to translate the "Pacht". These contracts are called Einspeisevertrag/Energieeinspeisevertrag or Anschlussnutzungsvertrag. You might also drop the "energy" if it is clear from the context, that it is energy. German terms are sometimes to detailed and long.
