German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Engineering: Industrial / milling
German term or phrase: Fantgasse
I generated absolutely no Google hits on this. This is the context. I have both a pdf version and a word version of the same file, and this is how the term is written.

Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Rührwerkskugelmühle, in der die Trennung des Mahlgutes vom Grobgut allein durch die Wirkung der Zentrifugalkräfte möglich ist. Das Mahlgut tritt unter Abscheidung des Grobgutes in eine Beruhigungskammer ein und danach durch eine FANTGASSE aus.

English translation:drainage trough, gulley
Explanation:
...that this MAY be a typo for "Fanggasse", seeing that the "T" is directly above the "G".

In the given context, it might even make sense...

Given the context, this indeed makes sense, and I assumed it must be something like this. The possibility that it was a typo also makes sense...I'm considering calling it a discharge chute.
