German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Engineering: Industrial / welding
German term or phrase: dichtschweißen
Context:

"Die Behälter etc. sind dichtzuschweißen, nicht zu kleben"

In the specifications (Lastenheft) for an installation (cf. http://www.proz.com/kudoz/4445683 etc.).
There seem to be numerous different translations of "dichtschweißen", e.g. 'Seal welding', 'seamlessly welding' 'watertight welding', 'leakproof welding' (cf. http://www.linguee.com/english-german/search?sourceoverride=... ). I suspect some af these are too literal, but can't tell which is actually right.

* Sentence or paragraph where the term occurs: See above
* Document type: Performance specifications
* Target audience: Engineers/contractors
* Country and dialect (source): Germany
* Country and dialect (target): American English
