not abbreviation, but abbreviated way of saying that a company's business is manufacturing "Feuerungsanlagen" via "Stahlbau". For example: ITEC Planungsbüro Feuerungs- Stahlbau
-> say their business is "planning for new furnaces, expansions, reconstructions and repairs of your melter. More over we are ready for developing special units."

I think this just a different way of saying "Stahlbau für Feuerungen" which means "steel construction for furnaces". Not sure whether this is the most commonly used English equivalent though.

could it be an abbreviated way of refering to building furnaces etc. from steel? I've seen the reference for a company specialising in building glass melting vats etc.
