Bei Stromausfall verlaufen die Schleifbänder sehr schnell und beschädigen die Laufrollen. Zur Vermeidung dieses Problems wird ein Druckluftpuffer an der Schleifstraße installiert.

Ich kann mir hier unter dem Begriff "verlaufen" nichts Genaues vorstellen.
