Context:

"Auf diese Vierkantrohre sind die Manganbleche als Kettenauflageleisten Seitenführungen aus Stahlblech angeschraubt."

I'm a bit thrown by this entire sentence, quite apart from not knowing what precisely the term for Kettenauflageleisten is. It seems as if something is missing between Kettenauflageleisten and Seitenführungen, as the former are evidently manganese plates whilst the latter are made of sheet steel. Or am I missing something?
