Um die zwischen dem vergleichsweise kühlen Verdampfer-Gehäuseteil und dem heisseren Wandüberhitzer-Gehäuseteil auftretenden thermischen Längenausdehnungen des Materials zu kompensieren, stützt sich das Wandüberhitzer-Gehäuseteil auf dem Verdampfer-Gehäuseteil über eine Schiebestelle ab.

I would prefer the use of "slide" for "Schiebevorrichtung" as I cannot imagine that dilatation is compensated for at only one point but over a surface
