Legt man eine Bandbreite für den Energieverbrauch fest, die eine gute Lebensqualität garantiert, aber auch individuellen Bedürfnissen nach etwas mehr Komfort nachkommt, stellt man wiederum fest, dass sehr viele Menschen heute unterhalb dieser Bandbreite leben.
in diesem Kontext, bin ich mir unsicher, weches wort ich hier für bandbreite am besten verwenden sollte

  -> Yes, I realise it's a range, but I felt it was odd to say you live beneath a range.

  -> Thanks Phil - I realised that this was not strictly what the German said but I do think there is a case for moving slightly away from the original and going with the sense rather than the literal words
