German term or phrase: Bergfettwiesen
This is from a list of particular flora and fauna found in the Alps. I have googled the term, but have found no explanation as to what kind of a meadow this actually is. It must be moist to some extent, but not marshy, no? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

fertilized (alpine) meadow
Explanation:
I take this direct from Evert Lexikon Landschafts- und Stadtplanung (which is really excellent)

fertilized meadow; Mostly intensively-used agricultural land, mown once or more per year on slightly moist to moist soils; syn. fertilized hay field.
