Die Ansprüche gegenüber den Kunden der XXX sind vertraglich abzusichern.Im Falle des Zahlungsausfalls oder aber der Nichtabnahme durch die Kunden der XXX ist von einem Dritt-Verwertungsrisiko auszugehen.
Im schlimmsten Fall würde ein teilweiser **Abschriftenbedarf** aufgrund ungünstiger Verwertungskonditionen entstehen.

I just found the following _Swiss_ glossary; the explanation for \"Abschriftenplanung\" confirms my initial suggestion but *Abschrift* alone would be *discount/[price] rebate*:

# Reduzierter Verkaufspreis zur Beschleunigung des Absatzes. Siehe auch Abschriftenplanung.

# Abschriftenplanung
# Bestandteil der Limitplanung. Gibt die Preisminderungen im Verkaufswert an, die pro Verkaufsperiode (Monat, Woche) und pro Waren- oder Artikelgruppe geplant sind, um die Abverkäufe zu beschleunigen ( Slowseller-/Penner- Management, Altwarenmanagement ). Siehe auch Abschrift.

Thanks silfilla and all and sorry for the delay in grading. Been busy. I added an "Anm. der Cheredaktion", in the doc, the agency agreed and the client has not whinged. Grotty German phrasing methinks, but I am a NNS.
