German to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Finance (general) | | German term or phrase: abschöpfen | Wichtig:
Die Kassenschublade ist regelmäßig (mehrmals am Tag) *abzuschöpfen*.
Talking about not having too much change in the cash register. Best so far that has occurred to me is "skimmed off". But I am not happy with it as it sounds more like milk and siphoning also has similar overtones to me. Any better ideas?

Explanation: I know that I just suggested "absorption" for "Abschöpfung," but in this particular case you might consider describing what is supposed to happen, instead of using a single word (which I can't seem to find right now).

Asker: fits the meaning but I'd still be interested in a succinct term!
