overall equipment effectiveness
Explanation:
OEE is part of the lean canon, seems it was coined as part of total productive maintenance introduced in the late 1970s.

Some definitions

Gross time available
minus non-scheduled time
Net time available
minus setups and breakdowns
Run time
minus reduced speed and small stops
Operating time
minus start-up losses and rework/scrap
Production time (OEE)

www.oeetoolkit.nl:
Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a crucial measure in TPM that tells you how well your equipment is running. It links three elements in one percentage: the time the machines is actually running, the quantity of products the machine is turning out, and the quantity of good output.

Oops. Asset Utilization - did a backcheck and turned up the following, which seems more reasonable in your financial context:

Anlagenintensität: Die Anlagenintensität ist eine Bilanz- kennzahl. Sie zeigt das Verhältnis des Anlagevermögens zum Gesamtvermögen. Je höher dieser Wert ist, desto unflexibler kann das Unternehmen im Hinblick auf z.B. Marktver- änderungen agieren. Weiterhin ist tendenziell der Fixkosten- anteil höher. Außerdem muß bei einer hohen Anlageintensität stets auf die Kapazitätsauslastung geachtet werden

machine utilization intensity / machine use

Explanation:
I have a feeling that with "Anlagenkapazität" they do not mean the "intensity of equipment" (which makes no sense to me) but the intensity of use of that equipment. This is a direct criteria, for instance for the speed with which machines are depreciated, and therefore has a direct influence on profitability data.

equipment utilisation

Explanation:
It is an important figure because you have to utilise your investment to the full to be competitive.

Utilisation = time in use / time available

equipment intensity

Explanation:
this is one of those ratios, like 'capital intensive', 'work intensive' - "degree of equipment utilization (AE)" might be another good translation. 'Bewertungskennzahl' translates as 'valuation ratio'

plant utilization rate

Explanation:
Outside of the plant utilization rate and good will writeoffs, it is our view that the most important data of machine tool manufacturing remains the assigned valuation on the basis of EV/EBITDA

leverage

Explanation:
The leverage is high when most of the company's funds were / are invested into fixed assets. In general, it is measured as fixed assets / total assets (in a "stock" approach) or as fixed operating costs / total operating costs (in a "flow" approach). The relationship is that when the value of fixed assets is high, this implies higher fixed costs and makes the company more vulnerable to changes in the market.

By the way, I would not exclude "capex intensity" either (the development of capital expenditures is also eagerly followed by analysts - for the reasons described above). Of course, all these ratios are important first of all in a comparison with the peer group or sector data.

I hope it is not too late for your work.

Pardon: fixed / total operating costs are called \"operating leverage\".
