withdrawal vs. withdrawal Explanation: You may use withdrawal for either of the two. However, a contract can be disavowed, canceled, or even revoked. Sometimes the context makes it clear which one you should use. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 46 mins (2007-10-24 16:55:30 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- We also use "abrogation." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2007-10-24 19:31:32 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- From the context you have made available, there is no indication that the meaning has changed. |

Annulled vs. Annulled Explanation: Example: To annul a contract. In the context of contracts could well work. To try and clarify the "vs.": Annul vs. Repeal might provide a slight difference!? But they also are very synonymous annul (cancellation) vs. repeal (revocation) |

withdrawal vs. revocation Explanation: see page 9 of http://assets.cambridge.org/97805216/30986/sample/9780521630... Apparently, they have different legal effects. |
