German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / cycles and yield curves
German term or phrase: phasenverschoben
Letztlich durchlaufen die kurzen Kapitalmarktrenditen nahezu exakt alle neun Jahre ein zyklisches Tief, phasenverschoben hierzu gleichfalls rund alle neun Jahre ein zyklisches Hoch.

I understand what is meant but cannot come up with the correct term. Any suggesstions are much appreciated.

English translation:at the appropriate interval
Explanation:
Something as technical-sounding as phase-shifted sounds faintly ridiculous in the context of economics - like Hilary, I would want to re-word it in some way to get the underlying idea across. (After all, if you say that there is a Hoch every 9 years and a Tief every 9 years, you don't have to be very clued up to realise that the Hoch and the Tief aren't going to occur at the same time!

phase shifted

Explanation:
Phase shifted rather than delayed. Verschoben is shifted not necessarily delayed. In other words the same cycles occur at a different time in comparison to the ones before.
